Grosser Gauheimatabend und Boarischer Tanz

The Gauheimatabend und Boarischer Tanz begins at 7:30 pm, Friday, July 31, in the Wisconsin Center, Ballroom D. An approximately 1 1/2 hour program of authentic Bavarian-alpine music and song will be performed by 13 different groups: everything from Alphorn to Zither & Ziach! The Boarischer Tanz begins immediately after the program with “Siasswasser Tanzlmusi” from Detroit providing the Tanzlmusi.

Attention Bauernmesse Singers!

If you have ever sung Annette Thoma’s “Deutsche Bauernmesse,” whether at a previous Gaufest or some other occasion, please consider joining us in Milwaukee.  Practice for the Bauernmesse will take place at 2:30 Saturday, August 1, in Ballroom ABCD of the Wisconsin Center.  Please make sure you come to practice in Festtracht, since there will be no time to run and change afterward.  Mass begins at 4:30 in the same Ballroom.  For more information, or if you have any questions, contact Rick Michels: r
