Keep Traditions Alive on the Bayerischer Rundfunk

The Bayerischer Rundfunk has long had a wonderful programming lineup of Volksmusik, Brauchtum, and Tracht on its network. Unfortunately, they are threatening to eliminate much of this wonderful programming for budget reasons. The Bayerischer Trachtenverband is working hard to get signatures on a petition as well as writing directly to BR.de to let them know that Trachtler do not want this programming to be eliminated.  You can help, too, by going to the link below and adding your name to the correspondence. These programs are sorely needed to bring our Bavarian traditions to life.

The first QR code takes you to a petition to protest the elimination of much of the traditional programming on BR.de. Please sign the petition which will be sent to BR.de.

The second QR code takes you to a letter that will be sent to the program director of BR.de. The letter states that the presence of Volksmusik, Brauchtum, and Tracht are especially important to presenting an authentic picture of Bayern in Germany and throughout the world. You are asking the program directors to rethink their position about eliminating so much programming that is part of their charter.
