John Schaefer, Gau Nordamerika Beisitzer and his wife Carol of D'Oberlandler, Milwaukee visited Das Haus der Bayerischen Trachtenkultur und Trachtengeschichte in Holzhausen bei Landshut. They brought the 1928 Fahne from D'Oberlandler Verein as well as a Standartenfahen dated 1933 from the "Bayerischen Vergnügungsclub" and various Fahnenbünder to be kept in the archives in Holzhausen. John presented the Fahnen to Landesvorsitzenden Otto Dufter and Archivar Wolfgang Gensberger. Also present were Schriftfüherein Hildegard Fluhrer and Kassiere Walter Weinzierl and Peter Eicher. Otto Dufter expressed thanks for the support from Gauverband Nordamerika for the Holzhausen project. John and Carol were given a tour of the facility to see the progess that has been made in the construction of new buildings. Then Brotzeit was served and it was agreed to deepen the friendly Trachtenbeziehungen über den großen Teich! Fotos: Anton Hötzelsperger
