Gauverband Nordamerika

All subscribers to the Gauzeitung will very soon be getting two issues in the mail. The “Summer” issue and the August issue.

This “Summer” issue was slated to be the May issue. Obviously, that didn’t happen. Instead you are getting the Summer issue as well as the August issue in early November, mailed together (36 pages in all!). My apologies for them being so late. But life happens and something had to fall off the table. I hope that you will enjoy getting these two issues with the many great events that happened throughout our Gauverband.

The results of the survey questions about the 2025 Gaufest in Delaware are now available to see.  Click on THIS LINK to see a summary of all the responses. 

The Bayerischer Rundfunk has long had a wonderful programming lineup of Volksmusik, Brauchtum, and Tracht on its network. Unfortunately, they are threatening to eliminate much of this wonderful programming for budget reasons. The Bayerischer Trachtenverband is working hard to get signatures on a petition as well as writing directly to BR.de to let them know that Trachtler do not want this programming to be eliminated.  You can help, too, by going to the link below and adding your name to the correspondence. These programs are sorely needed to bring our Bavarian traditions to life.

GTV Almrausch Philadelphia will be a featured group in this year's Oktoberfest parade in München! About 100 members of the Verein will be in the parade to celebrate their 100th Jubiläum. What an honor! Their place in the parade line-up is #6b, which puts them close to the beginning of the parade.

The application and qualifications for applying for the Paul Ulrich Sr. Scholarship are available at this LINK.  Each year scholarships are available to members of Gauverband Vereine.
