Gaufest First:  The Nevele Resort in the Catskill Mountains was an all-inclusive resort, the first time that the Gaufest has been held at such a facility. 

Gaufest First:  Jugendeinzelplatteln made its debut and was (and has remained) hugely popular.  22 couples took part.

Gaufest First:  Einzelplatteln for adults was done on a trial basis. 33 couples from 18 Vereine participated.

12 Vereine took part in Gruppenpreisplatteln.

More than 100 children took to the floor to perform the "Gauplattler" on Sunday.
