Michael Olk, Gauarchivar, has been awarded the Verdienstmedaille des Verdienstordens der Bundesrepublik Deutschland by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany. "Für besondere Verdienste auf kulturellem und ehrenamtlichem Gebiet". He will be presented with this award by Onno Hückman, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, in Chicago on June 29, 2010.
