The Original Auerhahn Schuhplattler of Miami, Florida, are sad to report the loss of Heinrich Michel, one of our long-time Trachtler and a friend.

Hein was born in Heidelberg, Germany on September 2, 1935, and passed away October 15, 1999.

He was an engineer on freighters for many years until settling in Miami. He was the head engineer at a large apartment complex on Miami Beach for many years too.

Hein was our second Vorplattler for a long time, and our master of ceremonies for our festivities and the originator of many of our comedy skits. He was always full of fun, fun loving and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Hein leaves behind Rosita, his wife of 25 years, his daughter Jessica, his sister in Germany, and his mother-in-law.

He will be greatly missed by all of us.
