Einzelpreisplatteln becomes a Permanent Gaufest Event
An important decision for everyone, particularly the long-suffering Einzelplatteln (EP) Committee, is that
EinzelPREISplatteln is now a fact of life. For 2005 in Buffalo, couples should seriously prepare for
Einzelpreisplatteln, and enjoy it. The motion to accept the final proposal was unanimous. We look forward to seeing
many more couples involved.

Gau Welcomes New Member Vereine!
At the 2004 Delegates Meeting held May 1-2 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania,
the Gauverband welcomed five new member Vereine! These Vereine bring
with them a wonderful combination of experience, talent, and enthusiasm. They’ll be terrific additions to our Gauverband!

The Gauverband's Bylaws, Rules, and Guidelines (as of 2003) are now
available on the Gau website! To view them, go to
"About Us,"
then click on "Bylaws/Membership." View the Adobe file on screen or download it. The
next scheduled update is after the Gau Ausschuss Meeting in March 2005; any
changes coming from the 2004 Delegates Meeting will be rolled in at that
time. Until then, you'll need to consult the 2004 Minutes to know what
changes were approved.

Steieregger Dance Instructions Added
The website has been updated with new dance instructions. The
Steieregger, taught by Tom Vogt at the 2002 Delegate's Meeting
is now available on the
dance instructions page.
Gau's Library Content Updated
The Gauverband's library listing has been updated and includes more than
60 new Volkslieder, Volkstaenze, Schuhplattler, and videos. To download

Delegates Meeting, May 1-2, 2004 Agenda
The Gauverband's biennial Delegates Meeting will be held in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, May 1-2,
2004. The agenda for the weekend's meeting has been set, as has the schedule for the General
Sessions, Vorplattlers Meeting, Administrative Meeting, and workshops.

Who may submit an article? Any member Verein or any non-member Trachtenverein. Any
individual may submit an article. The objective of the Gauzeitung is to inform about things
of interest to fellow Trachtler.
